New York-based real estate developer Mag Partners is exploring the possibility of building data centers in Baltimore. The company, which is leading the development of the 235-acre waterfront project known as the Baltimore Peninsula, is in discussions to potentially add colocation data centers to the site.
The Baltimore Peninsula is planned to be a massive mixed-use development, with a total of 14 million square feet of space for offices, apartments, and retail. So far, about 1.1 million square feet have been completed. The developer is now considering adding data centers to a portion of the site, though details about the size and which company might operate them have not yet been released.
