iomart DC8 St Asaph (located in North Wales) became part of the iomart network in December 2012. The facility was originally the headquarters and data center for Hosting UK (formally known as Internet Engineering Ltd). iomart acquired the company for approximately £1.25 million, officially integrating the site into their national portfolio as DC8.
iomart Group is a Scottish information technology and cloud computing company that was founded in 1998 by entrepreneur Angus MacSween. The group takes its name from a derivation of the Gaelic word iomairt meaning enterprise.
