Project Vega has become a cornerstone of Hut 8's next-generation infrastructure, serving as a Tier I data center that bridges the gap between traditional mining and high-density AI compute. Located in Oldham County, West Texas (near the town of Vega), the facility is fully operational and utilizes a proprietary, in-house designed direct-to-chip liquid cooling system. By supporting extreme power densities of up to 180 kW per rack, the site currently hosts a massive fleet of liquid-cooled BITMAIN miners while proving out the architecture for future high-performance computing and AI workloads.
