CyrusOne is developing a 62-acre campus in Wood Dale, Illinois, with plans to construct six data center buildings encompassing approximately 1.4 million square feet. This project represents an investment exceeding $1 billion by CyrusOne. Once fully operational, the City of Wood Dale anticipates receiving at least $2 million annually solely from utility taxes.

  • Update: CyrusOne completed the structural framework of the first data center building in May 2025.

Initially, CyrusOne's plans, filed in Q3 2024, detailed a five-building campus in Wood Dale. However, current information reveals an expansion to six buildings, with construction presently underway and the entire Wood Dale campus anticipated for completion by 2032.
