Project Spade is a massive hyperscale data center development in New Florence, Missouri, officially confirmed in January 2026 to be a Google project. Developed in partnership with Related Digital, the campus spans approximately 934 acres in the southeast quadrant of the I-70 and Highway 19 interchange.
While original 2025 filings proposed three structures, the plan was amended in early 2026 to feature two massive buildings of approximately 800,000 square feet each. The project is designed with a staggering utility capacity specifically engineered to support high-density AI workloads. To mitigate environmental impact, the site will utilize a closed-loop air-cooled system that forces air across chilled water pipes, significantly reducing the facility's operational water consumption compared to traditional data centers.
