Google: Gylderåsen (Våler)

Year Planned: 2028

Google is currently exploring the development of a new data center at Gylderåsen in the Våler municipality of Østfold, Norway. While the site has been designated for industrial use since 2009, the project gained momentum following a 2017 feasibility study. In alignment with Norway’s national strategy to attract the data center industry for job creation and green digital transformation, Google has applied for a substantial power capacity allocation in the NO1 region to support the potential facility.
