Taiwanese electronics leader Foxconn and chipmaker Nvidia are constructing a massive artificial intelligence data center in Kaohsiung, a southern port city in Taiwan.

Dubbed an "AI factory" by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, the ongoing project is being built in phased stages to carefully manage local energy resources, with plans to scale up its power capacity gradually.
