In mid 2026, the municipality authorized a negotiation committee to agree terms with the developer for the sale, with any final agreement to return for political approval before signing. The proposed terms include a multi-year purchase option, a long-term local employment guarantee, developer-funded rezoning, and planned use of surplus heat.
