The Spanish energy leader Forestalia is significantly expanding its portfolio by entering the high-tech infrastructure sector with the launch of the Búfalo Project. This ambitious initiative involves a total investment of €12 billion to develop a massive network of three state-of-the-art data centers in the Aragon region of Spain.

The DCM Data facility in Magallón serves as one of the three primary pillars of the Búfalo Project. With an individual investment of approximately €3.3 billion, this site is strategically located to capitalize on the region’s existing electrical and fiber-optic backbone. The DCM Data unit is unique because it integrates 70 MW of dedicated on-site renewable energy, ensuring that 50% of its power is generated directly from Forestalia’s own wind and solar assets. This project has already received "General Interest" (PIGA) status from the local government, clearing the path for it to become a cornerstone of Europe's next-generation cloud infrastructure.
