Flexential is a U.S. data center operator formed when Peak 10 acquired ViaWest in August 2017 for $1.67 billion. The company subsequently rebranded in January 2018 as a single company.
The company provides colocation, interconnection, cloud, and managed services. The company is backed by private equity firm GI Partners, which agreed to acquire Peak 10 in 2014. ViaWest was founded in 1999 in Denver and Peak 10 in 2000 in Charlotte, with each building regional data center portfolios before combining in 2017.
