Diversified Energy: Gateway Industrial Park

Year Planned: 2028
Lot Size: 100 acres

The proposed Letcher County data center is an early-stage, off-grid development planned for a 100-acre parcel within the Gateway Industrial Park in Jenkins, Kentucky.

Under a joint agreement between the Appalachian Industrial Development Authority, Diversified Energy Company, and Maverick Holdings, the site is being evaluated for a behind-the-meter campus utilizing dedicated on-site natural gas power generation from an adjacent compressor station. Engineering studies are actively assessing the technical viability of the power configuration, though an end-user tenant and official project name have not yet been announced.
