China Construction Bank is building a data center campus in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area with a total investment of 11.3 billion yuan ($1.55 billion), with construction started in December 2024. The campus will be constructed in phases and ultimately house 30,000 racks and 300,000 servers. Phase one, with an investment of 3.76 billion yuan, will accommodate 8,748 racks and 100,000 servers.
This project will be CCB's largest data center in the nation, covering an area of 476.5 mu (31.77 hectares). The data center, along with a demonstration base for big data applications, will mostly consist of data center buildings, research and development facilities, training rooms, office spaces, and production and living support facilities.
