Toronto-based Bitfarms has announced plans to fully convert its Bitcoin mining facility in Washington state into a high-performance computing (HPC) and AI hosting hub. The project, which is part of a broader company-wide initiative to phase out cryptocurrency mining by 2027, involves a $128 million agreement with a leading US infrastructure provider to outfit the 6-acre site with state-of-the-art liquid cooling systems.
