The Westerhill AI Energy Campus is an ambitious development combining a state-of-the-art AI data center campus with an integrated, large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Situated within the Westerhill Regeneration Masterplan area—to the north-east of Bishopbriggs, this site is strategically positioned for connection to the nearby Lambhill substation.
The development is designed to deliver critical digital services while proposing a 500MW BESS and securing consent for the BESS via the Scottish Government’s Energy Consents Unit (ECU) through a Section 36 application, directly supporting Scotland's Net Zero goals and regional regeneration ambitions.
