AWS is building a new, two-building data center campus in the Huechuraba suburb of Santiago, Chile, marking its second major data center project in the capital.
Located on a 10.9-hectare plot, the campus is slated to offer substantial new capacity. The first structure will contain 8,000 sqm (86,100 sq ft) of data center space, while the second, two-story building will add 10,400 sqm (112,000 sq ft).
The design emphasizes operational resilience and efficiency, including offices, 23 emergency electrical generators, fire control systems, and low-water-consumption air conditioning and cooling systems.
