SRP is building the South Mountain Transmission (SMT) Project to serve this corridor: a new 500/230/69 kV substation in Laveen tapping the Anderson-Orme 230 kV line, roughly 2-3 miles of new double-circuit 230 kV, and under a mile of new 500 kV. Existing Laveen load is served off the 69 kV Cheatham substation, which lacks capacity.
