The AI Pathfinder data center at the i3 Industrial Park in Irvine, North Ayrshire, is a flagship £15 billion project designed to become one of the largest AI infrastructure hubs in Europe. Scheduled to begin operations in 2026, the facility is part of a broader mission to provide domestically controlled, sovereign AI infrastructure for the UK. The first phase of development involves a £385 million initial investment and the deployment of 6,400 GPUs to support high-density AI training and enterprise workloads.
