Planned nine-building data center campus by TPA Group on about 317 acres off SR 11 north of I-20 in Social Circle, Georgia. Approved by the city in 2025; officials later said the project appeared to have foundered. Completion had been targeted for 2031.
Campus at a Glance
TPA Group is developing Social Circle Technology Park through its affiliate SC Infrastructure LLC. The site at 708 N Hwy 11 lies east of SR 11, north of I-20 and west of Social Circle Road in Newton County, Georgia.
- Site: About 317 acres within a 453-acre tract owned by Cumming Investments Inc.
- Plan: Nine buildings totaling about 2.57 million sq ft, two on-site substations, and entrances on SR 11 and Social Circle Road.
- Utilities: Georgia Power (electric); Newton County Water & Sewerage Authority (water).
- Approvals: Filed as DRI #4376 and refiled as DRI #4426. The city rezoned the tract on May 21, 2025 and approved a data center special-use permit on May 28, 2025.
- Status: Newton County calls the 2008-2009 annexations void and threatened to sue. In late 2025, city officials said the project appeared to have foundered. TPA's team then pursued the separate Strouds Creek megasite to the north.
