TAC Data Centers, the data center platform of Atlanta developer The Ardent Companies, markets TAC I HS as a two-phase hyperscale campus of about 3 million sq ft.
- Site: The Henry Chapel tract, about 275 acres on three parcels along the north side of Henry Chapel Road in Belmont, Gaston County. It sits on the South Point peninsula, across the Catawba River from Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
- Ownership: Ardent affiliate ASF TAP NC II LLC bought the land in June 2022.
- History: The tract was first planned as the 622-lot Henry Chapel subdivision. Belmont City Council denied that plan in April 2024, citing traffic safety. TAC listed the site for data center use that November.
- Zoning: General Residential and Suburban Residential, within the South Point Peninsula Overlay District.
- Infrastructure: A Norfolk Southern rail spur runs past the east side of the tract. Duke Energy's retired Allen Steam Station sits about 1.7 miles to the south-southeast.
