STACK's SVY01 campus covers about 19 acres along Fortune Drive, Ringwood Avenue and Trade Zone Boulevard in North San Jose's industrial district.

  • Origins: Fortune Data Centers converted a former Seagate fabrication plant at 2001 Fortune Drive into the campus's first data center. It added structural and seismic upgrades to FEMA essential-facility standards, and the building earned LEED Gold.
  • Ownership: Fortune merged with Dallas Infomart in 2014 to form Infomart Data Centers. IPI Partners bought the site in March 2018 and rebranded it as STACK Infrastructure in 2019. STACK then added a three-story building on the original nine-acre parcel.
  • Trade Zone Park expansion: In March 2024 STACK broke ground on 9.8 acres at 1849 Fortune Drive and 2400 Ringwood Avenue. The plan replaces two older industrial buildings with two four-story data centers, a four-story advanced-manufacturing building and a parking structure. The California Energy Commission exempted the expansion's 39 diesel backup generators under a Small Power Plant Exemption (docket 21-SPPE-02) in March 2023.
  • Utility: PG&E serves the campus. The original buildings draw on two PG&E distribution substations and buy renewable power through PG&E's Direct Access program, which Fortune joined in 2010. STACK is building the 115 kV Ringwood switching station, tied to PG&E's Newark and Milpitas substations, and will transfer it to PG&E under agreements the CPUC approved in Resolutions E-5420 (2025) and E-5447 (2026).

STACK's SVY02 building on Memorex Drive in Santa Clara is a separate campus.

STACK Infrastructure is a privately held platform sponsored by IPI Partners that focuses on large scale wholesale capacity and campus development for hyperscale and enterprise customers.

The company was launched in 2019 when IPI combined the remaining Infomart Data Centers assets with selected T5 Data Centers facilities, and industry coverage at launch cited eight data centers across six U.S. markets totaling about 100 MW. In March 2022, IPI unified DigiPlex in the Nordics and SUPERNAP Italia in Milan under the STACK brand to form STACK EMEA, expanding the platform across Europe. STACK has since added international sites, including the first phase of a 56 MW campus in Toronto and its first Australian data center in Melbourne. Core services referenced by the company and trade press include wholesale colocation, build to suit, and powered shell solutions.

STACK Infrastructure History:

  • 2025: Sold its European enterprise colocation business (seven data centers in Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Milan and Geneva) to Apollo-managed funds; it now operates as Vaultica. STACK EMEA kept its hyperscale campuses.
  • 2023: Opened the first Australian data center in Melbourne on a multi-building campus.
  • 2023: Delivered the first 8 MW phase of a planned 56 MW campus in Toronto.
  • 2022: Rebranded DigiPlex (Nordics) and SUPERNAP Italia (Milan) as STACK EMEA.
  • 2019: IPI Partners launched STACK Infrastructure by combining the three Infomart Data Centers sites with selected T5 Data Centers assets. The company was rebranded as STACK INFRASTRUCTURE
  • 2018: ASB Real Estate Investments sold the three remaining Infomart Data Centers facilities in San Jose, Hillsboro, and Ashburn to IPI Partners; the Dallas Infomart carrier hotel was sold separately to Equinix earlier that year.
  • 2014: Acquired a facility in Ashburn that had been owned by AOL.
  • 2014: ASB Real Estate Fund, a subsidiary of DCI Technology Holdings, merged Infomart with Fortune Data Centers. The combined company was renamed to Infomart Data Centers.
  • 2012: Expanded to Oregon with a building in Hillsboro
  • 2007: John Sheputis purchased first Fortune Data Center in San Jose, CA, backed by ASB Real Estate
  • 2006: ASB Real Estate purchased Infomart Dallas building
  • 2006: Fortune Founded as Fortune Data Centers
