Data Center Campus
The Joliet Technology Center is a massive $20 billion data center campus spearheaded by PowerHouse Data Centers and Hillwood Investment Properties. Spanning 795 acres in Joliet, Illinois, the project is designed to feature 24 two-story buildings and will be developed in four distinct phases.
According to the construction timeline, work is expected to begin in early 2027, with the first sub-campus of six buildings and its dedicated six-acre substation projected to be operational by 2028. The entire 24-building campus is slated for completion by 2032. This long-term infrastructure project is anticipated to generate thousands of construction jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars in property and utility tax revenue for the local community over the next 30 years.
