Green's Campus ZRH2, marketed until 2025 as Metro-Campus Zurich, sits on Niederhaslistrasse in Dielsdorf's industrial zone. It lies beside Dielsdorf S-Bahn station, about 15 km north of Zurich. It is Green's second Swiss campus after Lupfig (Campus ZRH1).
Land and buildings
- The campus covers about 46,000 m² (11.4 acres) of former farmland on cadastral parcels 2165 to 2169.
- Green announced the CHF 500 million project in January 2021 and broke ground the same year.
- The master plan holds three four-storey data center modules and three office buildings for a business park. It also includes a 200 m underground garage and a public park with a pond.
- Implenia is the general contractor. MBA Projektmanagement manages the project, eins architekten designed it and Emch+Berger engineered the civil works.
- The south office building's facade uses 100% recycled aluminium, a first in Switzerland.
Ownership
- Green Datacenter AG develops and operates the campus.
- InfraVia bought Green from Altice in 2018. IFM Investors' Global Infrastructure Fund bought Green Group AG from InfraVia, and the deal closed on 30 October 2025.
Power and cooling
- EKZ built a new substation, Unterwerk Dielsdorf, on the campus. It connects to Axpo Grid's 110 kV Regensdorf-Eglisau line and is designed for three 50 MVA transformer feeds. The first stage has two. EKZ spent about CHF 14 million on it.
- EKZ's Regensdorf and Steinmaur substations give a second, independent supply.
- Avesco supplies 27 Cat diesel generator sets for the full campus, nine per data center. Each has SCR exhaust cleaning with AdBlue. The generators can also support Swissgrid's tertiary reserve.
- Cooling uses ambient-air free cooling on up to 300 days a year, with 24 chillers. Green offers hybrid air and liquid cooling for high-density racks. Rooftops carry photovoltaic panels.
- Waste heat feeds Energie 360°'s Dielsdorf energy network through a heat center on the campus. At full build the campus can heat about 11,500 households in six municipalities.
Connectivity, customers and awards
- The campus is carrier-neutral. It offers about 50 carriers, SwissIX access and direct links to the major public clouds.
- Certifications include ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 27701, PCI DSS and SOC 1 Type 2 / ISAE 3402.
- Customers include hyperscale cloud providers, banks, insurers and hospitals.
- Data Center M won the DCS Awards 2023 "New Design/Build Project of the Year". The waste heat project won at the Data Cloud Global Awards 2024.
