The De Soto City Council has approved a new $700 million data center project. The developer, Mount Sunflower Properties, LLC, is associated with Beale Infrastructure, which is backed by Blue Owl.
Dubbed ‘Project Pilot’, the data center will be built in four phases on a 290-acre site. The location is near Edgerton Road, 103rd Street, Kansas Highway 10, and 95th Street, and it is right next to the recently opened Panasonic EV battery plant.
Once completed, the facility will span 1.14 million square feet. The developer aims to have the first building operational by 2027.
