Zeittec has created a data facility for Agência Brasileira de Inteligência (ABIN), the Brazilian Intelligence Agency. The Brazilian company built a 3,230-square-foot data center at the ABIN headquarters in Braslia, Federal District. The facility comprised a 538-square-foot data hall, a power space, an operation area, equipment quarters, and an IT department area. There are two 230kVA generators on-site.
Turnkey construction was performed by Zeittec, which also relocated ABIN's servers and holdings to the new facility. The company reported that the data hall was constructed using a safe room system approved by ABNT 10,636, with CF 120 class to make it more fire-resistant – for up to two hours – while the remainder of the center was constructed using conventional masonry. Approximately thirty sensors were dispersed throughout the data center to continuously monitor temperature, humidity, the presence of liquids, and open entrances. The facility is outfitted with 41 security cameras.
Since the early 2000s, Zeittec has specialized in comprehensive client data center projects, including retrofits and adaptable, containerized offerings. The company constructed a 376-square-foot data center for Sebrae-PR, the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service, in Curitiba in September 2022. In November that same year, the firm revealed plans to construct a 3,230-square-foot data center for the Federal University of Espirito Santo.
