Vantage Finalizes $1.6bn Investment into APAC Platform

Vantage Data Centers has finalized a $1.6bn investment into its APAC platform using to acquire Yondr’s JHB1 campus in the southern peninsular Malaysian state of Johor. The facility sits on a 73-acre land parcel, and Vantage intends to expand the data center to deliver more than 300MW of capacity across three facilities.

The investment was led by an affiliate of investment firm GIC and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA). Both already had a stake in Vantage.

 In the APAC region, Vantage has data centers in Melbourne, Australia; Fo Tan, Kwai Chung, and On Lok, Hong Kong; Osaka, Japan; Cyberjaya, Malaysia; and Taipei, Taiwan. Its Malaysia campus is its largest in the APAC region, offering 467MW of capacity.
