Vantage Data Centers: Vantage Data Centers enters Asia-Pacific region by acquiring Agile Data Centers and PCCW’s data center business

Vantage Data Centers has announced that it is expanding into the Asia-Pacific Market by acquiring Agile Data Centers and PCCW’s data center portfolio. The primary stakeholder of Vantage Data Centers, DigitalBridge Investment Management, and other existing investors of Vantage DC have contributed $1.5 billion in equity capital for this purpose. Upon closing the deal, Vantage Data Centers will operate data centers across Melbourne, Osaka, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, and Hong Kong to hyperscale, cloud, and big enterprise customers. 

Agile Data Centers is a data center provider that focuses on developing greenfield hyperscale campuses. It has a total of 168MW in critical IT load in Osaka, Tokyo, and Melbourne. PCCW, on the other hand, is one of the largest data center businesses in the Asia-Pacific region. It has an existing IT load of 100MW spread across different facilities in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong.

Sureel Choksi, CEO of Vantage Data Centers, said the Company is expanding to the Asia-Pacific region after successfully expanding in the US, Canada, and Europe in the last three years. He noted that having the right partners was essential to the Company’s global expansion. Sureel Choksi further added that PCCW and Agile are the right partners for achieving the Company’s goals.
