Tamil Nadu Government signs data center MoUs with different data center firms

Tamil Nadu Government has revealed that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding with some data center firms to develop data centers in the Indian state. The MoU is worth up to Rs 35,208 crore ($4.7bn). Some of the companies in question include STT GDC, Adani Enterprises, L&T, Nxtra, and CtrlS. According to the agreement, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) will invest up to Rs 2,000 crore ($268m) in the development of data centers in the next five years. In addition, the data center will have a capacity of up to 90MW.

In addition, Adani Enterprises will invest up to Rs 2,500 crore ($336m) in developing a data center in Chennai. STT GDC will also be developing a 1,500 crore ($201m) data center in Tamil Nadu. Finally, Nxtra and CtrlS will be investing Rs 700 crore ($94m) and Rs 1,448 crore ($201m), respectively. 

There are 34 data centers in Tamil Nadu.
