ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) has revealed that it will be developing a new data center in Seoul, South Korea. The data center will be developed in the Gasan-dong area in Seoul. This will be the company’s second facility in South Korea. The data center will span 335,900 square feet (31,205 square meters) of floor area. It will also deliver 30MW of IT power. The company noted that it would lease the shell and core building. The data center is expected to come online in the first half of 2025.
According to STT GDC, the new data center will be located close to Mokdong, making it accessible to telecommunications, nearby substations, and subway stations. The CEO of Northeast Asia STT GDC, Nicolas Toh, said that the company expects that the new facility will give access to opportunities for innovations, cloud-based services, and digital infrastructure.
