Center3, a subsidiary of Saudi Telecom (STC), has expanded one of its data facilities in Riyadh. This week, the company revealed the addition of 9.6 MW of capacity to the Khurais Riyadh facility.
The company did not specify the facility's total capacity. In and around the city, Center3 runs several data centers. The expansion, according to Center3, will benefit Center3 customers and allow them to provide all cloud and digital services more quickly and on a larger scale.
The CEO of Center3, Eng. Fahd Al-Hajri stated that this was part of Center3's data center expansion plan, which seeks to provide capacity for its customers' data and meet their needs within the allotted time frame. The company is expanding existing facilities in Riyadh and Jeddah, as well as constructing new data centers in Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, and other locations throughout the Kingdom.
Center3, a subsidiary of the STC group, owns more than 25 data centers in Saudi Arabia and plans to increase its portfolio capacity to over 300MW over the next few years. Center3 was established in October 2022 in order to acquire the digital infrastructure assets possessed by the STC group, such as data centers, subsea cables, global points of presence, as well as Internet exchange points.
