STACK INFRASTRUCTURE: Stack Developing a 36MW Facility in Prince William County, Virginia

Stack Infrastructure has announced that it has started work on a new facility in Virginia. The groundbreaking ceremony of the NVAL3 hyperscale data center campus took place this week. The data center’s first phase will deliver 36MW of capacity in a single building by Q1 2024. In addition, the site, which spans 40MW, will add up to 100MW of scalable and committed power from Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative (NOVEC).

The CEO of Stack Americas, Matthew VanderZanden, said: “Expanding our presence in the heart of Prince William County represents a strategic approach of continuing to deliver scalable capacity where it matters most. Powered with 100 percent renewable energy, Stack’s new campus offers a sustainable solution and allows our clients the ability to grow quickly in the world’s largest data center market.”

Stack currently has a huge data center presence in Northern Virginia. According to the company, its current capacity and capacity under development is nearly 1GW.
