Stack Infrastructure has acquired two empty parcels of land in Manassas, Virginia. The land has been zoned for data center development. Per BizJournal, an affiliate of Stack Infrastructure paid $25.4m for 30.8 acres at 9530 Hornbaker Road, Manassas, last month. The company then bought another 32-acre land for $26.14m at 9650 Hornbaker Road in the same month. The selling firm is Peterson Companies.

Earlier in 2020, both companies announced plans to develop a 125-acre facility in Prince William County. The first phase of the development will span 25 acres with 72MW of critical capacity across 65,000 square meters (700,000 square feet) of data center space. Upon full build-out, the data center campus could potentially reach 250MW of critical load capacity across 371,600 square meters (4 million square feet) of data center space.

The president of Development at Peterson Companies, Taylor Chess, confirmed to BizJournal that the acquired properties were part of the data center campus announced in 2020.
