Stack Infrastructure has announced that it has broken ground on a new data center on its Northern Virginia Campus in Manassas, Prince William County. According to Stack Infrastructure, the development will bring an additional 36MW of critical capacity with a goal of reaching 72MW. The firm says the facility will come online in Q4 of 2022.

In addition, Stack says it will also build an on-site, dedicated substation that can support a campus of over 250MW of capacity over 125 acres. It is also developing the campus in conjunction with the Peterson Companies.

CEO of Stack, Brian Cox, said adding 36MW of capacity to a facility in a prime location is one of the company’s strategies to provide clients with on-demand capacity. He also said Stack ensures that top technology pioneers have what it takes to create the world’s next major innovations through its facility developments.
