CDW Corporation has revealed its plans to acquire Sirius Computer Solutions for $2.5 billion. Sirius was founded in 1980, and it is a provider of mission-critical technology-based solutions for close to 4,000 customers. According to CDW, the transaction will accelerate its services and solutions capabilities significantly. CDW also said the deal would broaden its services portfolio.
Sirius Computer Solutions currently operates a data center in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The facility is also Tier III certified. The CEO and president of CDW, Christine Leahy, said Sirius’ vast portfolio of state-of-the-art technology-based solutions and service-led solutions would help meet the demand for highly complex and critical transformation initiatives.
CDW also revealed that the transaction would help speed up growth in its Security, Hybrid Infrastructure, Cloud and Managed Services, and Data Innovation. The acquisition is expected to close in December 2021.
