Brazil / Brasil: Serpro modular data center receives TIER 3 certification

Serpro has announced that its new data center in São Paulo has received TIER III certification. The facility has a total area of 1820 sqm and 503 sqm of prefabricated modules. The first three phases have been completed, with two further phases remaining, set to go ahead in early 2024.
At full build-out, the facility will have a total of 150 racks and a certified power of 1MW, with a PUE of 1.4.
Régison Rodrigo Martins, Data Center Innovation manager at the company, said that TIER III is "a seal" that guarantees that its data center facilities followed the best design practices, allowing concurrent maintenance that increases the level of resilience of the site and promotes greater availability for hosted services.
"Serpro now has a Data Center that provides the best levels of service to the solutions hosted there," added Martins.
