According to Estado, Brazilian private equity firm Patria Investments is looking to sell its data center unit Odata. The Brazilian data center firm was established in 2015 and it offers colocation services from three data centers in Brazil and one each in Mexico and Colombia. Odata is valued at R$10 billion (US$1.8bn).

Odata has broken ground on a new facility in Chile. It is also developing a new building at its Rio de Janeiro data center while also expanding its Sao Paulo data center campus. When Odata launched its first Mexican data center earlier in the year, it said it would be developing a second data center with 30MW of capacity in Querétaro in the future. It also noted that it is looking to expand into Peru. Timelines were not disclosed.

ODATA SA has 23 sites.
