Bloomberg Reporting Aligned is Close To Odata Acquisition

According to Bloomberg, Aligned is looking to acquire Brazilian data center operator Odata. The report states that the discussions are in the advanced stage of a potential $1.8 billion deal. However, there’s still uncertainty about the deal, and it is more likely to fall through as it is to be completed. Odata was established in 2015 by Patria Investments. The company is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and it offers colocation services from three facilities in Brazil and one each in Mexico and Colombia. 

Odata has also started work on a data center in Chile, developing a new building in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro and expanding its data center campus in Sao Paulo. Odata opened its first Mexican data center earlier in the year. It also said it would develop another 30MW data center in Queretaro soon. It also said it would be targeting Peru soon.

Aligned has 36 sites in 9 regions.
