European cloud and data center firm OVHcloud has launched a new availability zone for its cloud region in Germany, as well as an inferencing platform in partnership with SambaNova. The region in Germany is OVH's third three-availability zone region in Europe, following France and Italy, and is based in Berlin.
"Our new three-AZ region in Berlin will strengthen the security and resilience of European digital infrastructures. With this location, we are confirming our ambition to support the entire economy, regardless of sector or organization size. European digital sovereignty is not built with isolated champions, but with systemic players capable of operating on an international scale," said Octave Klaba, founder and CEO of OVHcloud.
“Choosing SambaNova was a deliberate decision to provide our customers with an unrivalled inference experience,” said Klaba. “Their technology delivers the raw power and efficiency needed for the most intensive AI workloads. This partnership allows us to run more models, in a smaller footprint, leading to AI inference with better utilization.”
