Oracle: Oracle Partnering With Telefonica For Cloud Region in Madrid

Oracle has announced a partnership with Telefónica. The agreement sees Oracle place its Spanish cloud region in Telefonica’s data center in Madrid, Spain. Per the agreement, the two firms will jointly offer cloud platform-as-a-service and applications to public sector organizations and enterprises across the telco’s Tech’s customer base. In addition, the agreement will also see Telefonica become Oracle Cloud Madrid Region’s host partner.

According to Oracle, the new region in Madrid will be designed to provide Spanish public sector and business customers with an extensive and reliable cloud service with the highest security standards, high performance, and low latency. The SVP & country leader at Oracle Spain, Albert Triola, commented on the partnership. He said the deal reiterates the company’s commitment to providing businesses and the public sector in Spain scalable and secure cloud service.
