The Navarre government this week announced that it has invested €4 million ($4.54m) in the expansion and modernization of the facility. The Data Processing Center (CPD) saw its capacity increased from 200kW to 400kW of installed power, and can now house 96 racks (double the prior 48 racks) across three areas. Generators and cabling have also been upgraded, and air conditioning and energy efficiency improved.

María Chivite, President of Navarre, said: "With this expansion, we not only gain capacity to host government data, but we also offer companies and other institutions and organizations the opportunity to host their servers in a secure, efficient environment located in Navarre."

The data center will be used to host and process all the information systems managed by the Government of Navarre, including digital medical records, tax information, police records, and student data from the Education Department. "Therefore, behind a technologically complex environment lies an eminently practical utility that affects us in our daily lives," Chivite said.
