Equinix Singapore SG3: Mapletree Industrial Trust divests SG3 to Equinix for $92m

Mapletree Industrial Trust has sold an Equinix-occupied data center at 26A Ayer Rajah Crescent in Singapore to Equinix. The sale price of the facility is S$125 million (US$92.7m). The SG3 facility has 384,802 square feet of space. It is also a built-to-suit seven-story data center facility developed by Mapletree Industrial Trust for Equinix in January 2015.

Equinix also announced the completion of the facility’s third and final phase in late 2018. SG3 offers 178,600 square feet of colocation space. According to Mapletree Industrial Trust, Equinix exercised the option to buy the facility. The transaction was completed in June 2021. Mapletree also made S$15.7 million (US$11.6m) net divestment gains from selling the data center to Equinix.
