DartPoints's May 2023 acquisition of Venyu was partly funded by Lafayette Square, a financial associate of data center provider DartPoints. Last month, DartPoints purchased the Louisiana-based operator, incorporating three data centers into its fleet and bringing the total number of data centers operated by the company in the United States to 11, totaling over 325,000 sq ft and 20MW in capacity. This acquisition's financial parameters were not disclosed, nor has Lafayette Square disclosed how much it invested in the transaction.
In addition to the undisclosed sum of financing, Lafayette Square will grant access to its Worker Solutions platform, which helps businesses improve staff retention, well-being, and efficiency by connecting management groups to outside vendors. Lafayette Square focuses on middle-market businesses outside of high-income areas and invests in those with annual revenues between $10 million and $1 billion.
DartPoints was founded in 2012 in Texas and specializes in Edge data center colocation, cloud, cybersecurity, and managed services for enterprises, carriers, cloud, and content providers.
