DartPoints, a frontrunner in the edge market colocation, cloud, and security service space, has acquired Venyu, the leading data center infrastructure and cloud services provider in Louisiana.  DartPoints now operates 11 data centers totaling over 325,000 sq ft of space and 20 MW throughout the United States. Venyu was one of the first companies to build its facilities (the Shreveport facility) based on Department of Defense anti-terrorism force protection rules and has been at the forefront of the information security industry. After Hurricane Katrina, Venyu was one of the first service providers in the country to offer virtualization as a disaster recovery solution. By joining the DartPoints team, Venyu will have access to better resources and a larger staff, according to Josh Descant, CEO of REV, Venyu's former parent company.

Venyu can now continue fulfilling its purpose to source, deploy, and maintain end-to-end IT ecosystems for its customers. Customers, markets, and workers will all reap long-term benefits from the synergies created by the merged company. DartPoints received funding from Astra Capital Management in May 2020 with the intention of expanding its edge colocation, cloud, and cybersecurity offerings in medium-sized markets. After acquiring Metro Data Centers (MDC) in October 2020, DartPoints entered the Midwest market. In March 2021, the company bought Immedion and expanded into the Southeast U.S.
