German asset manager Kauri has acquired a 55,000 sqm (592,000 sq ft) site in Hochheim for the development of a data center. Kauri paid €24 million ($28.2 million) for the plot, located between Frankfurter Strasse and the B40. According to Frankfurter Neue Presse, the facility is expected to deliver around 40MW of capacity at full build-out.
Construction is expected to take around three years, beginning in 2028. The transaction was carried out through Kauri’s data center subsidiary, Kauri CAB Digital Infrastructure.
Berlin-based Kauri specializes in real estate development, with previous projects including the residential schemes Wasserstadt Mitte and Berlin Spandau, both located in the German capital. Hochheim is not a traditional data center hub. Located in the state of Hesse, the town lies southwest of Frankfurt, which is Germany’s largest data center market.
