India / Bhārata: India's National Stock Exchange is Moving To a New Data Center

India’s largest stock exchange- The National Stock Exchange will be moving its primary data center from the Mumbai headquarters. The NSE move comes the organization’s former head was arrested over an alleged colocation scam. The scam involved him giving a broker privileged access to market data. NSE’s CEO and managing director, Vikram Limaye, said NSE will continue adding new servers due to increasing trading volumes which is why it is important to move to a new space. He added that NSE will be moving its co-location servers and data servers to a data center on the outskirts of Mumbai.
In addition, the data center will also hold traders’ servers. Besides, Economic Times is also reporting that the move to the new data center is because the old facility has a limited expansion capability. India’s NSE expects to complete the move to the new data center before the end of 2022. The move will also cost the organization ₹1,000 crores ($130 million).
