US data center firm Hudson InterXchange (Hudson IX) is expanding its presence at the 60 Hudson Street carrier hotel in New York City with the addition of a 2MW data hall. The expansion, integrated into Hudson IX’s sixth floor data center, is designed to deliver up to 40kW of capacity per cabinet.

“Our goal has always been to anticipate and respond to the needs of our customers,” said Arthur Valhuerdi, chief technology officer of Hudson IX. “This expansion reflects our commitment to delivering world-class, high-performance infrastructure - offering scalable configurations that support everything from a single cabinet to custom cages, in one of New York City’s most connected buildings.”

60 Hudson is one of the most iconic data centers in the world. Built between 1928 and 1930 for use as telegraph company Western Union’s headquarters, the 24-story building was designed to be ‘the largest telegraph building in the world’ and the ‘Telegraph Capitol of America.’
