UK property firm Harworth Group is close to selling another powered land site to a major data center provider. The company has signed an exclusivity agreement with an unnamed provider for a site with an accepted power connection and strong planning prospects. Harworth’s data center landbank now totals around 800MW across six sites, including the 400MW Skelton Grange site sold to Microsoft in 2024. The company is also exploring smaller colocation and Edge projects across its portfolio.
Lynda Shillaw, Harworth CEO, said: “Harworth provides a compelling opportunity to invest in powered land for data centers, having established a strong track record in this area with our first powered land sale in 2024 for a hyperscale data center and now our entering into an exclusivity agreement for a second hyperscale transaction.”
She continued: “We are confirming today that we have the potential to deliver up to six hyperscale data centers across our irreplicable land portfolio, which, coupled with our in-house expertise in planning, power, servicing, and deal execution, will deliver strong, through-the-cycle returns to investors.”
