Google Signs 100MW PPA with EnBW for Power

Google has signed a 100MW Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with German power company EnBW for energy from the He Dreiht offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.

The 15-year deal will see the hyperscaler offtake power from the under-construction wind farm, which, when complete, will have an installed capacity of 960MW. Located 90 kilometers (55.9 miles) northwest of the island of Borkum and 110km (68.3 miles) west of Helgoland, the project is expected to reach commercial operations in spring 2026.

“With He Dreiht and our PPA with Google, we are demonstrating that large-scale, clean energy solutions are already a reality today. Together, we are helping to power innovation and progress with renewable energy – reliably and around the clock,” said Peter Heydecker, member of the EnBW Board of Management for Sustainable Generation Infrastructure.
