Power and Air Condition Solution Management GmbH (PASM), a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, has signed a long-term PPA with energy group EnBW. Following this 15-year agreement, PASM will offtake 100MW from the 960MW He Dreiht offshore wind farm in the North Sea. Construction of the EnBW offshore wind farm, located about 90 kilometers northwest of the island of Borkum and 110 kilometers west of Heligoland, is scheduled to begin in May 2024 and be operational by the end of 2025.
Bernd Schulte-Sprenger, managing director of PASM, said, “Our partnership with EnBW under the power purchase agreement for the He Dreiht wind farm enables us to jointly advance the energy transition and make a good contribution towards achieving our climate targets.”
Dr. Georg Stamatelopoulos, COO of sustainable generation infrastructure at EnBW, added, “In PASM, we have gained a further dependable partner for our He Dreiht offshore wind farm, and we have now secured more than half of He Dreiht’s capacity with PPAs.”
