Google: Google opens quantum computer data center and R&D lab, plans commercial system by 2029

Google just opened its new Quantum campus, which houses its quantum computers and serves as a Research and Development lab for future developments. The latest data center campus is located in Santa Barbara County, California. Google is also planning to spend billions of dollars on building a commercial-grade 1 million qubit quantum computer by 2029. The computer will be able to make comprehensive business and scientific calculations with zero errors.

A top scientist at Google who oversees Google’s Quantum AI project, Dr. Hartmut Neven, commented that the new campus in Santa Barbara is an effort in achieving the Company’s quantum computer goal.
