Google: Google Quantum AI invests in QuEra

Google Quantum AI has invested an undisclosed sum in quantum startup QuEra. In a statement, the neutral-atom quantum computing company said the investment will help it “accelerate technology advancements” such as developing scalable and fault-tolerant quantum computers. 

Commenting on the investment from Google Quantum AI, Ory said it was a testament to the strength of QuEra’s technology, its “world-class team” and the company’s “long-term partnerships with Harvard and MIT."

“Google Quantum AI is a leader in quantum computing and this investment recognizes the potential of different quantum computing technologies, and specifically QuEra’s leading neutral-atom technology,” he said, adding that QuEra was set to announce an additional financing initiative in the coming weeks that would allow the company to execute on its vision and position it as “the recognized market leader for neutral atom-based quantum computing solutions.”
